Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship at UCLA

The Pediatric Rheumatology fellowship program was started in 2004.  This is a three year training program accredited by the American Board of Pediatrics.  Training occurs at Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA as well as the outpatient pediatric clinic at UCLA and at Olive View.

The first year consists of primarily clinical responsibilities with intensive inpatient experiences at Mattel Children's Hospital and outpatient rheumatology clinics.  The second and third years focus more on research projects designed by the fellows in conjunction with faculty attendings.  Second and third year fellows continue to have continuity clinics as well as occasional inpatient service duties.

Because of the association within the Division of Pediatric Immunology and Allergy, fellows also receive training in treating patients with immunodeficiency and allergy.  In addition, pediatric fellows participate in grand rounds and research lectures given by the adult rheumatology department at UCLA.

Click on the link below to download the pediatric rheumatology fellowship application form.  For applications for a July 2009 starting position, we will participate in the fellowship ERAS program.  The forms and information can be found at: http://www.aamc.org/students/erasfellow/start.htm

Feel free to contact us for more information about our program.
