Pediatric Research Track
This track is designed to provide a mechanism for sustaining research interest and productivity during residency, while providing comprehensive training in general and subspecialty pediatrics. The track is open to individuals with MD/PhD degrees or others who can demonstrate equivalent evidence of research experience and commitment (per requirements of the American Board of Pediatrics). The key feature of the UCLA Pediatric Research Track is the 5 months of designated elective time for research that can be utilized by the resident to work on a project of their choosing. The UCLA Pediatric Department offers residents an impressive range of potential research mentors across the full spectrum of pediatric subspecialties. If you are interested in applying to this track, you may submit your application through ERAS using the same number as the categorical track. If you are potentially interested in this track, please include this information in your application or contact us by email.
